What are the Drum Corps International World Championships?
The Drum Corps International World Championships is the pinnacle of the annual DCI Tour, a series of more than 100 live competitive events taking place across the United States from June through August. The DCI World Championships mark a week-long celebration of the “very best” in the world of marching music. In 2009, more than 40 drum and bugle corps will compete in two classes for the Open and World Class World Championship titles. Participating units will represent twenty-two states and Canada.
When and where will the World Championships take place?
The 2009 Drum Corps International World Championships will take place in Indiana from Aug. 4 to 8. Events will kick off on August 5 in Michigan City before making their way to downtown Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium.View a complete schedule of World Championship events.
