Blue Devils posted a video recapping the corps' trip to Guatemala over Labor Day Weekend.
Tuesday the Blue Knights announced the members of its 2013 design staff. Among the new faces to the team is J.C. Caceres (visual designer), Tommy Keenum (artistic consultant) and Tim Piece (visual coordinator).
The Cadets announced that color guard caption supervisor Daniel Riley will not return to the corps in 2013. “I have nothing but thanks for the passion and effort Daniel has given to the Cadets’ guard,” Director George Hopkins said. “We wish him nothing but the absolute best with his winter and summer guard programs for years and years to come.”
Through a new partnership with California State University Dominguez Hills, City Sound will be able to offer college credit to students completing a season marching with the corps. According to a press release from the corps: “This undertaking is one of the most innovative student music programs to hit Los Angeles in many years. Being a state with the unavailable financial means to have the arts in every school, this class is targeted at providing a completely new musical opportunity for all students, who enroll at California State University Dominguez Hills, and sign up for the drum and bugle corps class.”
Tim Greene has been named percussion caption head of the Crossmen. "It is not often that someone of Tim's caliber becomes available. He is a great guy that will fit in with our members, design team, instructional staff and administration,” Program Coordinator Ed Devlin said.

Spirit of New Jersey

A schedule of 2013 audition dates and locations has been posted by the Troopers. The corps will host audition camps this year in a number of cities across the country including Indianapolis, Austin, Cheyenne, Las Vegas and Daytona Beach.
