DC-eye: Flashback Friday 1977 Cadets

From the Drum Corps World archives.The Garfield Cadets placed 12th in the DCI World Championship Finals in 1977. That year, the contest was hosted in Denver, which marked the first of three times the competition would be hosted in the Mile-High City.
Between 1974 and 2004, DCI broadcasted the World Championships on PBS, usually during Thanksgiving weekend, before moving the program to the ESPN2 cable network from 2005 to 2007. A live broadcast of the World Championship Prelims is now shown annually to audiences across the United States.
