A number of Drum Corps International's World and Open Class corps including the Blue Knights, City Sound, Mandarins, Music City, Raiders and Spartans are currently vying for money as part of the Chase Community Giving campaign on Facebook. Your votes can help these groups share in $5 million worth of grants.

Blue Stars announced the members of its 2013 design staff. New to this year’s team is Richard Saucedo (brass composer/arranger), John Mapes (percussion composer/arranger), Ian Grom (percussion composer/arranger) and Tim Fairbanks (drill designer).
Bluecoats are selling the color guard costumes and flags used this past summer for the corps’ “UnMasqued” production. Discounts have also been made on 2011 guard flags and uniforms. Check the latest inventory on the corps’ website.
Youth Education in the Arts, the parent organization of the Cadets, has a temporary paid administrative position open in its USBands division from now until Dec. 23.
Registration for prospective members of the 2013 Carolina Crown will begin on Sept. 15 on the corps’ website. The corps’ first audition camp will take place Nov. 16-19 in Fort Mill, S.C.
Former Cascades member Nick Benson has been named the corps' program director. "The Cascades are very lucky to have someone with Nick's experience and background, and we are very excited to get started on the 2013 program," Executive Director Doug Hebenthal said.
Mitch Rogers (drill writer) and Alan Spaeth (program advisor) are newly appointed members of the Cavaliers’ design team for 2013. "We're grateful to have a majority of the creative team returning, with some key adjustments moving into the upcoming season," Program Coordinator Scott Koter said.
Online registration is now available for those interested in joining Genesis for the corps' 2013 season.

Spartans announced their color guard captain and drum majors who will lead the corps’ membership next season. The corps will host an open house for interested members on Nov. 18 in Nashua, N.H.
Andrew Ebert is the latest addition to the 2013 Troopers’ staff serving as visual designer. "We are excited to have Andy join the design team. I've watched his visual programs and it will be exciting to see what he has in store for the 2013 Troopers,” Director Fred Morris said.
