As 7th Regiment gets ready for its January rehearsal camp this weekend in New London, Conn., there are still openings in all sections for those interested in membership.
The Academy is once again fundraising through Waste Management Phoenix Open’s Birdies for Charity. The program raises nearly $5,000 each year for the organization. Make a pledge online to support the corps.
Blue Saints will get their 2013 season underway with a rehearsal camp Jan. 19 at Montessori School in Sudbury, Ontario.
Auditions for the Blue Stars will continue Jan. 18-20 in Indianapolis. Positions are still available in all sections.
Boston Crusaders are less than two weeks away from the “March of a Lifetime” as they get set to participate in the 57th Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington. Jeremy Earnhart is the newest addition to the Cavaliers’ design staff. "We're honored to have Jeremy as a part of the team," Program Coordinator Scott Koter said. "His resume and background obviously speak volumes, but anyone who has witnessed the groups under his leadership have seen cutting edge design with performances that are refined yet have an a undeniable level of emotion.”
Aaron Guidry will join 2013 Colts overseeing the corps’ use of electronics. "I am really excited to work with Aaron because he adds such a fresh perspective on the show,” Percussion Arranger David Nelson said. “He has a great sense of effect and how to generate it.”
Genesis has a limited number of positions open in its brass and percussion sections. If interested, join the corps this weekend for its rehearsal camp in Mathis, Texas.
Gold will audition members Sunday, Jan. 13 at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif.
Impulse will hold auditions for brass, percussion and drum majors on Jan. 13 and 27 at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Legends will rehearse this weekend, Jan. 11-13, in Kalamazoo, Mich. Positions are still available in the corps’ brass and cymbal sections.
Madison Scouts alums will be hosting the 13th annual "Rockin' for a Cure" on Saturday, April 20, in Madison, Wis. The musical charity event founded in 2000 by the late Scouts alum Steve Weekes, raises funds for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Association Wisconsin Chapter.
