Blue Knights announced the dates and locations for its 2014 audition and experience camps which will include a first-time stop in Calgary, Canada. “These weekend camps, either the one day out-of-state camps, or the Denver weekend camps, are designed to introduce all to the techniques and methods we employ that have made the Blue Knights one of the top performing organizations in the world,” Executive Director Mark Arnold said.

The Cavaliers percussion section was selected to perform this November at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Indianapolis. PASIC is annually the largest percussion event in the world featuring more than 120 concerts, educational clinics, master classes, labs, workshops, panels and presentations.
City Sound launched an online fundraising campaign through Indiegogo. The corps is working to raise $100,000 in order for the corps to take a two-week tour outside of the state of California this summer, ending with a trip to the DCI World Championships in Michigan City and Indianapolis, Ind.
Colts announced its schedule of audition and pre-season rehearsal camps which will get underway on Nov. 29 in Dubuque, Iowa.
Tyler Edrington will serve as Crossmen color guard caption head in 2014. He served as assistant caption head in 2013. “Based on all the great work that Tyler did last season running most of the day-to-day aspects of the color guard program, we felt he was more than ready to take over the reins of the color guard caption,” Program Coordinator Ed Devlin said.

Mandarins’ percussion section will be headed in 2014 by staff members Sean Womack (caption head), Mark Hunter (assistant caption head) and Robert Bowen (manager). “This combination of performance talent, instructional experience and management expertise has never before been assembled at the Mandarins,” the corps posted in a release on its website.
