DCI Eastern Classic

With a three-decade history of hosting the DCI Eastern Classic in Allentown, Pa., Drum Corps International returns this August to the venerable J. Birney Crum Stadium for two exciting days of World Class competition. For fans in the East, Allentown is the place to be as one of the last stops on the DCI Tour before all corps head to Indianapolis for the 2010 World Championships.

Plenty of great seats are still available for both Allentown events and you can purchase at the on-site box office starting at 3:00pm the day of the event.

Tickets for this event range from $35 to $25 with groups of 25 or more people are reduced to $20 per person in the Value sections.

Don't wait to purchase your tickets as prices increase by $5 at the on-site box office.

From the North
Take Route 22, exiting at 15th St. Proceed south towards town for approximately 1-1/2 miles past Trexler Middle School (left) and the Armory (right) to Linden St. Turn right onto Linden and proceed past William Allen High School. J. Birney Crum Stadium is on the right at the bottom of the hill.

From the South
Take I-78 to Exit 55 (Cedar Crest Boulevard). Make right at bottom of ramp. Follow to the second traffic light (Hamilton Boulevard) (Perkins Restaurant will be on your left hand side) and make a right. Follow Hamilton approximately 2 miles to 19th Street and turn left. Follow one block to Linden Street and turn left. J. Birney Crum Stadium will be on your right.

From the East
Take I-78 to Exit 55 (Cedar Crest Boulevard). Make right at bottom of ramp. Parking Location
Street parking around the stadium is available.

Disabled Parking
Disabled parking is located on Turner Street between Gates 3 & 4. There will be no disabled parking on Linden Street. Gate 3 is the disabled entrance and the easiest access for walking into the stadium.
Group Sales Information
Bringing a group to the event? Groups of 25 or more receive a reduced price of $20 per person in the Super sections.
Performance Order
The line up for this event will be based on the reverse order of the scores from the DCI Southern Championship presented by Lake Oconee & Greene County, GA event, or closest date score if not participating. A progressive group drawing system based on the current draw policy will be used for the World Class corps.
Seating
All seating at J. Birney Crum stadium is bench seating. Sections E through L have 34 rows.   Sections A through D and M through P have 37 rows. Each section has 28 seats in each row with the exception of H and I which have 14 seats in each row.   

Aisles are on the sides of the sections* with entry at the top and bottom of the stands.

*Section H and I are not separated by an aisle.


Wheelchair Seating
Wheelchair seating is available in sections E through L and is available to accommodate a wheelchair plus one accompanying person. Please call our office for seating in these areas. (317.275.1212 x3 Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern)

Easy Access Seating

Spectator Entrance Gate
Spectator entry is at Gates 1 and 4 at the East end of the stadium and Gate 3 at the West end of the stadium. Gate 1 is on Linden Street. Gates 3 & 4 are on Turner Street. (Top of stadium)

Gate 3 is the ADA accessible entrance.   


Ticket Booth
Tickets will be on sale at gates 1, 3 and 4.

Re-entry Proceedures
If you’re leaving the stadium and plan to return during the event, please obtain a hand stamp as you exit. Your ticket and a hand stamp will be required for re-entry.

Will Call Booth
Will call tickets can be picked up at Gate 1 off of Linden Street.

Prohibited Items
Alcohol, firearms and pets. The stadium is a smoke free environment.

Emergency Proceedures
Guests in need of assistance during the contest should notify the nearest uniformed stadium staff or Drum Corps International staff member.
