In one of the biggest events to hit the upper Midwest since the 2006 DCI World Championships, the 2010 Drum Corps International Tour will roll through Minneapolis, Minn. on Saturday, July 17, for a first-ever event at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Home of the University of Minnesota’s Golden Gophers, this brand new venue will host a whopping lineup of 23 World, Open and All-Age Class corps during one fun-filled and exciting evening.
The University of Minnesota is not affiliated in any way with the activities conducted by Drum Corps International on the University of Minnesota campus. The relationship between the University of Minnesota and Drum Corps International is solely that of licensor and licensee.

Tickets for this event range from $47 to $27 with groups of 20 or more reduced to $20 in the Super sections.
Tickets are currently off sale and will be available at the box office at 11:00am Saturday.

As reported July 13 by the Minneapolis Star Tribune:
WHERE: Interstates 35W and 94 will be completely closed in downtown Minneapolis this weekend as state transportation crews work on bridges that span the roads.
The roads will be closed at 10 p.m. Friday and are scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday. I-94 will be closed between Cedar Avenue S. on the east and the 35W/94 split on the west; the I-35W closing will span from the split to S. 7th Street.
RECOMMENDED DETOURS for I-94 are I-694 to I-35W to Hwy. 280. Recommended detours for I-35W are I-94 to I-694.
EXITS OPEN: Several downtown exits from both freeways will remain open.

Taking place in conjunction with the DCI Minnesota competition, the System Blue Midwest Marching Band Skills Camp will be a four-day intensive music, marching and color guard camp for students and educators, taught by instructors of the Blue Devils and Santa Clara Vanguard.
