This summer, the SoundSport International Online Music Festival & DCI Performers Showcase offers individual performers and ensembles from across the globe the opportunity to participate in Drum Corps International’s “Celebration Season.” With participation opportunities for soloists, ensembles of all sizes and “virtual” ensembles, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to be a part of the 2021 DCI Celebration Tour!
Registration Window: Registration will start June 14 and be open until August 1. After signing up, videos can be submitted at any time during the seven-week period.
For nearly five decades, DCI has celebrated the achievements of its remarkable performers by staging head-to-head contests for individuals and ensembles. Known to many as the “I&E Competition,” the DCI Performers Showcase returns in 2021 in an online format, and will once again spotlight exceptional performances from creative and talented people – but now with even more categories than ever before.
Virtual Performers Showcase Rulebook
SoundSport’s “Festival-Rating” contest for small performing ensembles now expanded to include large performing ensembles! Regardless of the age of your performers and the size of your performance area, whether you’re “on-the-move” or stationary, performing as a drum corps, marching band, concert band, jazz ensemble, orchestra, wind ensemble, Mariachi ensemble, athletic “pep” band, or other creative performing group, your music ensemble can participate in the SoundSport Medalist Class to spotlight your unique talents and creativity to the DCI community and the world.
Virtual Medalist Class Rulebook
Designed for ensembles of any size who are unable to gather in person as well as individuals creating multitrack productions. Create your virtual ensemble by collecting performance videos from each participant and meld them together into one audio/video package. Performers of all ages are welcome!
