7th Regiment has a number of openings in its brass, percussion and color guard sections.
The Academy
The Academy introduced its color guard staff for 2018, a group that will be led by caption head Gabe Escobedo.
The Battalion
The Battalion recently completed its January rehearsal camp in Parker, Colorado. The corps still has spots to fill and is accepting video auditions.
Blue Devils B
Blue Devils B reported that more than 300 prospective members attended the corps’ recent educational clinic and audition weekend.
Blue Knights
Blue Knights named the four drum majors who will lead the corps during its 2018 season.
Boston Crusaders
Boston Crusaders alum Melissa Salguero is the recipient of this year’s GRAMMY Music Educator Award. “[Boston Crusaders] taught me to rise up over the obstacles in your way. Never give up get better every day,” Salguero said on Facebook.
Columbians
Columbians has openings in its color guard, brass and front ensemble percussion sections. The corps’ next rehearsal camp will be held in Connell, Washington February 9-11.
Crossmen
Wrapping up the month of January, members of the Crossmen were in action last weekend at Tejeda Middle School in San Antonio.
Guardians
Guardians will host a rehearsal camp for its brass and percussion sections February 9-11 in Angleton, Texas.
Impulse
Meet the drum majors who will lead Impulse during the corps’ 20th anniversary season.
Jersey Surf
Jersey Surf is increasing the size of its color guard section this season and on the hunt for additional members to fill those slots.
Legends
Legends has openings in its trumpet, mellophone, and color guard sections.
Oregon Crusaders
Oregon Crusaders added a number of individuals to its front ensemble percussion staff for 2018, including first-year caption head Jack Pronske.
Pacific Crest
It’s time for prospective Pacific Crest color guard members to send in their video auditions.
Pioneer
Pioneer has received membership inquiries from 31 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and several overseas countries. Video auditions may still be submitted by those who are unable attend an upcoming rehearsal camp in person.
Santa Clara Vanguard
Santa Clara Vanguard named three drum majors who will lead the corps in 2018. “These three have a combined total of 13 years in the Vanguard organization, and they truly model the values and vision of the Santa Clara Vanguard,” director Shaun Gallant said.
Seattle Cascades
Seattle Cascades will host its final callback audition camp February 23-25. The corps has a number of positions available most notably in the color guard and trumpet sections.
Shadow
In a recently-posted video, Shadow gives prospective members a glimpse into what it’s like being a member of the Oregon, Wisconsin-based drum corps.
Southwind
As of this week, Southwind has two openings in each of the following sections: baritone, tuba, snare, front ensemble percussion, and color guard.
Spartans
Positions are still available in Spartans’ horn line. Those interested should plan on attending the corps’ next rehearsal camp February 17-18.
Spirit of Atlanta
Registration is now open for Spirit of Atlanta’s Spirit U, a three-day summer camp for marching band students that will take place June 14-16 at the University of West Georgia. Attendees will get a chance to interact and perform with members of Spirit of Atlanta.
Troopers
These 24 individuals will staff the Troopers’ brass section in 2018.
Watchmen
Watchmen’s next audition camp for brass, percussion and color guard will take place February 11 in Riverside, California.
