The Academy
The Academy announced the members of its 2011 brass staff who will be led by returning caption head Christian Carichner.
Blue Stars
The Blue Stars are collecting donations for its scholarship fund drive. The program directly benefits corps members in need of financial assistance so that they can participate with the corps in 2011.
Bluecoats
Bluecoats’ annual business meeting will be held on Sunday, Nov. 28 in Canton, Ohio. The meeting “will consist of election of the board of directors and an annual report on the fiscal and operational results and plans of the Bluecoats association.
The Cadets
Former Cadets director Richard “Doc” Santo passed away this week. He was director of the corps from 1979-1982 and is often credited with building the foundation for the corps’ successes in the mid 1980s. Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 19.
Cascades
The Cascades have promoted alum Zach Smith to the position of brass caption head. He will work alongside Steve Menefee.
The Cavaliers
The Cavaliers announced members of their percussion design and instructional staff for 2011. The group will be led by caption coordinator Michael McIntosh.
Crossmen
Crossmen alum John Leonard will join the corps as color guard caption head in 2011. The corps additionally announced the members of its visual staff for the coming summer.
Jersey Surf
Jersey Surf announced its design staff members who will produce the corps’ production for its 21st season. “We continue to develop our own program on the field and behind the scenes while living within our means, and we are very pleased to have assembled an impressive team of creative professionals to help guide our organization for the coming season and beyond,” said Executive Director Bob Jacobs.
Mandarins

Music City
With a goal of reaching the maximum 150-member limit in 2011, Music City says that it’s not too late to join the corps at its Dec. 4-5 audition camp in Franklin, Tenn.
Pacific Crest
Jeff Lee joins Pacific Crest in 2011 to serve as front ensemble percussion arranger and sound designer.
Phantom Regiment
An unforeseen scheduling conflict has forced Phantom Regiment to move its Nov. 26-28 audition camp for brass and conductors to Aldrich Middle School in Beloit, Wis.
Pioneer
Pioneer alum Edward Fitzgerald will join the corps’ educational staff for the 2011 season.
River City Rhythm
Up against some last minute scheduling conflicts, the Racine Scouts’ color guard will not rehearse in Texas this weekend. Schedules for the brass and percussion sections are unaffected.
Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta has made a number of staff announcements including those will serve on the corps’ brass, visual and color guard staffs.
Teal Sound
Teal Sound Executive Director Randy Blackburn was recently interviewed by a local ABC affiliate to talk about the corps’ upcoming audition camp the weekend of Nov. 26 in Palm Coast, Fla.
