Blue Devils

Registration is open for the Blue Devils’ 2012 System Blue Live Events Educational Series. Color Guard, percussion and leadership camps are scheduled for several locations across the United States from early June into mid July.

Blue Stars

Blue Stars announced an expanded partnership with instrument manufacturer and distributor KHS America. “The Blue Stars joined the KHS America team a year ago with the company’s Jupiter Quantum brass instruments, and based on that experience are excited to move our percussion program to Mapex and Majestic,” Executive Director Brad Furlano said.
The Cadets

The Cadets

The Cadets wrapped up their latest rehearsal camp last weekend in Woodstown, N.J. The corps reports: “The March camp was another significant boost forward for the Cadets. The opener, ‘Carol of the Bells’ is now finished, and the corps performed that along with nearly everything else they know for friends and family on Sunday afternoon in a full display of the ‘12.25’ program.”

Carolina Crown is currently recruiting student “Crown Ambassadors” to “be our diplomatic messenger of all of the events and educational camps that Carolina Crown will produce this summer.” Register to participate on the corps’ website.

If you’ve got a knack for sewing, hemming, construction, or just want to lend a helping hand, the Cascades are recruiting volunteers to assist with a number of projects during the corps’ spring rehearsal camps.

Join the Glassmen on Saturday, April 21, for the Grill Your Own Steak Reverse Raffle fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit the Glassmen and the local Maumee High School band program.

Revolution announced the title of its 2012 production, “Shattered.” The program will feature music from several composers including Philip Glass, David Gillingham and W.A. Mozart, among others.

Santa Clara Vanguard alum Joe Tuohy has been hired as the organization’s director of external relations. “This is the beginning of an exciting time for our organization. We’re now prepared to truly recognize our alumni, family, fans and friends with an aspect of our organization solely dedicated to working with them to help transcend the years and enhance the experience of today’s Vanguard program member,” SCV CEO Jeff Fiedler said.
