The photo is of the Blue Knights contra section warming up in the shadow of Invesco Field (Denver, Colo.) moments before they were to perform that evening at the Drums Along the Rockies event–the Blue Knights’ home show–on July 11, 2009. A Blue Knights parent of a first-year member, and a fan and occasional amateur photo guy, my son, Thomas, is one of the drum majors for the Blue Knights.
