Blue Devils
Blue Devils have a number of “gently used” System Blue brass instruments available for sale including trumpets, mellophones, euphoniums and tubas.
Blue Knights
Blue Knights welcome Mike Jackson as the corps’ new percussion caption head and arranger. “Mike Jackson is highly respected in the world of percussion as a trend setter in design and for his commitment to excellence,” Executive Director Mark Arnold said.
Blue Saints
Blue Saints appointed Matt Wyse to lead the corps’ visual caption in 2014. “I look forward to helping the corps develop and grow in the coming season,” Wyse said.
Blue Stars
Blue Stars are recruiting volunteers to assist the corps with a fundraiser it runs as part of the La Crosse Oktoberfest Festival. Learn more and register to participate on the corps’ website.
Boston Crusaders
Boston Crusaders this week revealed a new website, currently focused on the 2014 audition season and recruiting prospective members.
The Cavaliers
The Cavaliers will feature a new brass staff in 2014 led by caption head David McGrath who has spent time as a DCI judge and is currently the director of bands at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Georgia. McGrath will be supported by Dr. Chip Crotts as associate brass caption head and pedagogy coordinators Freddy Martin and Michael Martin.
Colts
Colts posted a lengthy year in review, recapping the many highlights of the corps’ 50th anniversary season.
Legends

Madison Scouts
Registration is now open for the Madison Scouts’ Go for the Green golf fundraiser which will take place Saturday, Sept. 28 as part of the corps’ 75th anniversary celebration in Madison, Wis.
Mandarins
Mandarins are set to get their Brass and Guard Academy underway beginning Sept. 15. The educational sessions, which take place on Sundays from September through December, are focused on helping high school and college students improve their skills.
Pacific Crest
Pacific Crest announced that John Meehan will oversee the musical design of the corps’ 2014 production. His duties will include composing the brass arrangements and bringing together a team for the percussion arrangements.
Phantom Regiment
Phantom Regiment hired Bret Kuhn to serve as the corps’ percussion arranger and caption head. In the past Kuhn has worked with the Cavaliers, Bluecoats and Colts. “I’ve long had great respect for Bret’s musicality and outstanding accomplishments, and I’m thrilled that he will be heading the percussion staff for 2014, ” Corps Director Dan Farrell said.
Spirit of Atlanta
JW Koester has been hired as corps director of Spirit of Atlanta. Koester has previously held positions with the Glassmen, Phantom Regiment and Santa Clara Vanguard. He also served as the coordinator of DCI’s Division II & III (now Open Class) in the mid-2000s. “I am looking forward to working with the corps members, staff and board to make 2014 the start of a very memorable adventure,” Koester said.
