Blue Devils
Blue Devils personnel recently traveled to South Africa for the Field Band Foundation’s national championship. The trip was made in support of the Blue Devils’ new “One Music One World” initiative.

Boston Crusaders
An overview of the Boston Crusaders percussion program is now available for prospective members who will audition for the corps this fall. Included in the materials are sheet music and a recording of percussion parts to the first production of the corps’ 2011 show. “We thought this would be a great way for interested candidates to get a feel for what’s it’s like to play in the Boston Crusaders drum line,” Caption Head Ellis Hampton said.

The Cadets
Dues for members of the 2012 Cadets will remain the same as they were in 2011. “After crunching the numbers as it relates to the projected tour and the impacts of fuel prices and food expenses, we are confident that the corps will be able to provide the same magnificent experience for members in 2012, at the same level of investment as 2011,” Director George Hopkins said.

Carolina Crown
Rosie Queen, Michael Townsend and Mathew Follo will lead Carolina Crown’s color guard caption in 2012. “”Our goal entering into 2012 is to enhance and elevate the excitement and experience of the guard section in terms of performance excellence and design quality within the visual ensemble,” said Executive Director Jim Coates.

Cascades
Cascades announced the members of its 2012 design team who “collectively have more than 115 years of arranging, designing and adjudication experience.”

City Sound
City Sound is organizing a marching ensemble to take part in several nationally televised holiday parades in the greater Los Angeles area. All ages are welcome.

The Cavaliers
A limited number of flags used by color guard members in the Cavaliers’ 2011 “XtraordinarY” production are now for sale. Prices range from $20 to $30.

Crossmen
Crossmen announced its new and returning brass staff members for the 2012 season. “The Crossmen horn line made great progress in 2011,” said Caption Head Jason Buckingham. “The returning brass staff along with the positive additions we have made for 2012 will accelerate the progress in our development plan.”

Glassmen
Information about membership and auditions for the 2012 Glassmen is now available online. The corps’ first audition camp will take place Nov. 25-27 in Morenci, Mich.

Impulse
Impulse will host an open house for prospective members coming up on Nov. 6 at Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Madison Scouts
The Madison Scouts will host their annual board meeting on Nov. 4 in Madison, Wis. The event will include a recap of the 2011 fiscal year by Board President Jeff Manion and a “state of the corps” report by Executive Director Chris Komnick.

Mandarins
Mandarins announced its team of new and returning percussion staff members for the 2012 season.

Music City
Music City’s 2012 production “Grand Ole Opera” will “combine the most famous country classics and the most popular music from the opera stage.” The production will incorporate pieces from artists like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton.

Pacific Crest
Reorganizing after the departure of longtime Program Coordinator Dale Leaman, Pacific Crest has just completed a fairly significant overhaul of its design and instructional staff for the 2012 season.

Pioneer
Pioneer recently announced its news and returning caption heads for the 2012 season.

Racine Scouts
Racine Scouts are in the running for a $5,000 gas card as part of CITGO’s Fueling Good promotion. You can lend your support by voting for the corps once a day through the month of October. The group is looking to eclipse more than 2000 votes by the end of the weekend.

Raiders
An online registration form is now available on the Raiders’ website for those individuals interested in joining the corps for the 2012 season.

Revolution
Antonyo Provanni Monita will take over as Revolution executive director after John Rodriguez stepped down after 13 years of involvement with the organization.

Santa Clara Vanguard
Santa Clara Vanguard has launched a new premium content channel called “SCV-TV.” The $9 annual subscription will give you access to videos that take you behind the scenes of the Vanguard, Vanguard Cadets as well as the organization’s other programs.

Spartans
Spartans are hoping to garner 1,500 fans on the corps’ Facebook page before Nov. 20. Give the corps a “like” to help it reach its goal.

Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta will host its 2012 Season Kickoff Party on Sunday, Oct. 23 at the 5 Season Brewery at the Prado in Sandy Springs, Ga. A $20 donation at the door includes appetizers, a drink ticket and the chance to win Spirit merchandise.

Teal Sound
This year Teal Sound will host open auditions for its drum major positions. Auditions will be held at the corps’ Drum Corps “Experience” Weekend on Nov. 26-27 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Velvet Knights
Applications for those interested in marching with the 2012 Velvet Knights are now being accepted. Be on the lookout for the corps’ recruiting booth at a number of upcoming marching band contests in Southern California.
