Founded in 1928 by the commander of the American Legion Post #87 in Dansville, New York, the White Sabers got their start primarily as a concert and parade corps. After a number of years of inactivity, the organization reformed and joined Drum Corps Associates as a Class A corps in 2005. The corps was named the DCA Class A champion in 2013 and 2014. At the inaugural DCI All-Age Class Championship in 2024, White Sabers won Open Class caption awards for High Brass and High Total Effect.
