Organized in 1957 as a parade corps by �age-outs� of various local junior corps and WWII and Korean War veterans, the Reading Buccaneers soon embarked upon field competitions, winning three consecutive VFW championships in 1960, 1961 and 1962. Earning the inaugural Drum Corps Associates championship title in 1965, the Pennsylvania corps won the DCA championship title 19 times in total, 15 of them between 2005 and 2023. The corps was the inaugural DCI All-Age World Class Champion in 2024.
