Consent: Did you get consent?

Consent is defined as words or actions that show a knowing & voluntary agreement to engage in a mutually agreed-upon relationship or sexual activity.

Consent cannot be gained by force, by ignoring or acting despite the objections of another, or by taking advantage of the incapacitation of another.

Consent requires:

  • Ongoing communication
  • Uninfluenced
  • One step at a time, every time
  • Freely withdrawn

A person has the right to change one’s mind at any time. In other words, consent can be withdrawn at any point.

Even if you are unsure, always report behavior that concerns you. Follow your corps reporting policy.
