by Drum Corps International

Drum Corps International fans came together this October, submitting their artistic pumpkins decorated in the theme of their favorite drum corps units in all of their Halloween glory! Below are this year's winners of this popular contest in addition to some special honorable mentions. Take a look at all entries in this photo gallery. First Prize ('08 World Championships DVD package) Karen Hess of Sicklerville, New Jersey
Hess said about her creation: "This is dedicated to the Crossmen of the past, present and future, and a salute to all members of the Drum Corps International family!"
Second Prize ('08 World Championship Finalists DVD) Sandra Gentsch of Tucson, Arizona
In her creation, Gentsch paid tribute to the World Championship title won by the Phantom Regiment this past August. After four years with the Troopers, Gentsch was a member of Phantom's euphonium section from 2006 to 2008.
Third Prize ('08 World Championship CD set) Angi Ko of Stillwater, Okla.
Drum Corps International judges liked the attention to detail in the uniform and front ensemble accoutrements in this Blue Knights-inspired creation by Ko, a student at the University of Oklahoma.
