PASIC, the world's largest drum and percussion gathering, features leading percussion artists from around the world in more than 130 events on 13 stages. Session topics focus on a variety of percussive areas including drum set, symphonic, marching, recreational, world and keyboard. More than 7,000 drummers and percussionists are expected to attend the four-day series of events at the Austin Convention Center.
Those perusing the aisles of trade-show exhibits at the annual convention can stop by the Drum Corps International booth to be among the first to get a "sneak peek" at the 2008 DCI World Championship DVDs – scheduled to begin shipping to drum corps fans around the world next week. On Friday, Nov. 7, PASIC participants will have the chance to register to win their very own copy of the DVD set.
A highlight on the PASIC schedule for Saturday will be members of Phantom Regiment's World Champion percussion section who will present an educational clinic session for conference attendees.
