As the entire drum corps community looks ahead to the New Year and the summer of 2009, this week, Drum Corps International recaps some of the highlights of 2008, today with the most watched videos on DCI.org and the DCI Fan Network. The following five clips garnered the most plays during the 2008 calendar year: 1. Welcome to the All-New DCI Fan Network
In May, the DCI World Class corps came together to take the wraps off of the totally redesigned and expanded "Fan Network." This video previewed the premium content Web site which during the summer of 2008 gave drum corps fans across the world the chance to enjoy a vast array of online media options including live Webcasts, streaming video of past performances, exclusive downloads, and more. 2. "The Countdown" Movie Trailer
On April 24, drum corps fans had the opportunity to gather at more than 300 movie theaters across the country to watch DCI's annual spring cinema event, "The Countdown." This movie trailer previewed the event on DCI.org in addition to playing as part of pre-release screenings in movie theaters across the nation. 3. 2008 World Championship Winning Reactions
This video accompanied a DCI.org news article highlighting the results of the World Class World Championship Finals on Aug. 9. Featuring interviews with Phantom Regiment corps members and director Rick Valenzuela, the clip captured the performers "in the moment" as they celebrated their World Championship win. 4. 2008 World Championship DVD Promo
This trailer was created as a promo for Drum Corps International's 2008 World Championship DVDs. The fifth most viewed video of 2008 is available exclusively to DCI Fan Network subscribers. As one of more than 360 streaming videos, in 2008, the revamped Fan Network redefined the way drum corps fans have access to and watch World Championship performances of previous years.
