As you consider the many worthwhile causes to support with a year-end donation, here are four easy ways you can make a lasting impact for Drum Corps International and its participating organizations.
1. Contribute to DCI’s General Fund
Make a contribution that is automatically directed wherever there is need. From scholarships to educational events to offsetting the costs of housing for corps as they crisscross the country performing each summer, donations to DCI’s general fund are used to continue the growth of the marching music activity through a variety of means.
2. Support DCI’s Legacy Fund
See your contribution provide scholarship opportunities directly to young performers aiming to take the stage with the most elite marching music ensembles in the world. Established in celebration of DCI’s 50th anniversary and to help ensure the fulfillment of DCI’s mission now and in the years to come, the Legacy Fund helps provide financial resources directly to participants in DCI ensembles.
3. Donate to your favorite corps
Make a positive impact directly with an individual group you have a connection to. Annually each of DCI’s participating organizations take various approaches to ensure their ability to create incredible educational and performance opportunities. Your donation to a DCI corps can help support those efforts as they work toward fulfilling their own individual missions.
4. Become a Member of the “Friends of DCI"
See your impact manifested in incredible drum corps performances from some of the best seats in the stadium throughout the DCI Summer Tour. On top of their charitable giving, members of the “Friends of DCI” have priority access to tickets to select events on the DCI Tour schedule including the DCI World Championships.
