Robyn Marshall, who marched Capital Regiment on baritone during her rookie year last summer, sent in this one. "Hector and I were a normal tour couple to most, but we met in a pretty obscure way. I am from Pennsylvania (go Steelers!) and he is from Texas. "I had a livejournal site, and had a picture of the Santa Clara Vanguard up on it. He stumbled upon it and instant messaged me about it. "We talked for a while, mostly about little things, and it was just ironic that he played baritone as well. Then we started to talk about joining drum corps (it just so happened that both of us decided this year was the year we march). "We both talked about marching with the Capital Regiment, and even were bus partners (well before we got spots, lol) and continued to talk. "Soon, plans went awry and he had to choose a corps that was closer to home due to money, so he decided to try out for the Bluecoats. I still stayed true to Capital, and I'll never forget the day in December when we both came back with contracts in hand! "I still remember the night of Jan. 1 when he asked me if I'd like to be his girlfriend. I can't believe it's been almost nine months since then! We continued to support each other through camps, move-in, and of course, through tour. It was rough because a lot of times my corps would leave early, but we got through it and made semifinals and finals night -- the best time we'd had all season. We took this picture at the Allentown show." Thanks Robyn! E-mail your best shots from the summer to dave@dci.org along with where and when the photo was taken.
