Drum Corps World

Publishing since the 1970s as a tabloid newspaper, Drum Corps World (DCW) has provided more than 35 years of continuous coverage of the drum and bugle corps activity. Including a wide variety of information and feature articles about the corps and events of Drum Corps International, the publication's world-wide team of writers and photographers also cover other marching arts activities in North America, Europe, Asia and even Africa.

In addition to the publication, Drum Corps World offers a variety of historical materials including rare audio and video performances and other publications.

Evans Drumheads

The Blue Devils have formed a new partnership with Evans Drumheads. The two organizations will work together to design a line of new percussion accessories under the Blue Devils' "System Blue" name.

"The Blue Devil family is always looking for inventive ways to create the new sounds of tomorrow," says Blue Devils director of percussion, Scott Johnson. "We are all excited to work alongside the Evans/D'Addario team as we move forward into the next generation of marching percussion."

Innovative Percussion

Several DCI groups will be seen on the field this summer performing with the latest addition to the Innovative Percussion line of brushes and specialty sticks – the BR-8 and BR-9. Providing a unique timbre on the marching field, the new implements feature thick synthetic filaments with a bright and articulate (BR-8) or darker, more blended (BR-9) sound.

Stanbury Uniforms

Pacific Crest will partner with Stanbury Uniforms for the 2009 Drum Corps International season and beyond. The corps will debut a new look created by Stanbury design artist Brent Becker.

"It's easy to forget that Pacific Crest has only been an active competitor since 1996," says Stanbury CEO Gary Roberts. "In this short time they have become a pillar in the California music education scene, supporting both collegiate and high school bands and their students in a very positive way. Our partnership with Pacific Crest is a logical extension of Stanbury's support of youth and music education. We are honored to be selected by this outstanding World Class corps."
