With the Thanksgiving holiday and the release of the 2022 Drum Corps International Tour Schedule in the rearview mirror, the main focus of the drum corps community has zeroed in one thing: welcoming in the thousands of performers who will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in the 50th anniversary of DCI.
As such, in drum corps circles, the holiday season doubles as the audition season.
In every corner of the country, DCI’s participating organizations are deep into their recruitment and audition processes, and the first signs of the 2022 season have begun to surface on social media. Whether it’s through video tryouts, in high school gyms or on college campuses and beyond, corps are beginning to find the faces that will bring their designs to life and electrify nearly 100 unique audiences nationwide in the upcoming summer.
Plenty of audition opportunities are still available, though, and there’s no time like the present to take the leap and start the process.
