DCI Division II & III World Championships Preliminaries – The Bandettes, adorned with festive kilts, played "My Favorite Things" from "The Sound of Music" just after noon today as part of their 2002 show, "Think Outside the Box." The Bandettes scored a 70.1, and their performance left the audience clapping along during the corps' closer. The Bandettes are the only all-girl corps in North America, and they are in their 39th year of existence.Bandette drum major Sandy Howe, 20, of Ontario, was pleased with the Bandettes' performance. "I thought it was fantastic. I thought it was the best show yet, and the girls had a lot of energy. They put their best out there," Howe said. Howe is in her ninth year with the corps, and will be aging out next summer. "I love Camp Randall! Madison is a drum corps town," Howe said.
