Be afraid of the dark

by Drum Corps International

Greg Newell sent in this one. "This is a photo (front and back) of four Phantom Regiment kids who are in Michigan State University's awesome Spartan Marching Band. There probably are several college marching bands that have four kids in one corps, but this one is unique because of the other two guys in the photo. "On the left is John Madden, director of the Spartan Marching Band. He is a former Phantom Regiment soprano player (early 1980s) and a former brass staffer (early 1990s). On the right is Glen Brough, visual coordinator of the Spartan Marching Band. He is a former visual tech for Phantom Regiment (1993). Both are great guys. "The four in the middle (left to right) are trumpet player Cathy Rakowski, snare drummer Jared Vermeulen, trumpet player David Peters and trumpet player Matt Pagel. Phantom Regiment and Michigan State have ties going back to the 1970s, and it continues today." Thanks Greg!
