by Drum Corps International

From a Drum Corps Europe press release: Beatrix (Netherlands), Distant Thunder (United Kingdom), Strangnas (Sweden), Rythm Stars (Netherlands) and Jong Beatrix (Netherlands) are the new Drum Corps Europe champions for 2004. More than 2,000 people attended the DCE Finals in The Hague on Sept. 25. In prelims, Dutch corps Jubal (from Dordrecht) and Beatrix (from Hilversum) competed to a very close finish. Beatrix stayed ahead of Jubal by only one-tenth of a point.
