Tony Odello
The Blue Devils' Antonio (Tony) Odello Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 17, at the age of 89. Odello and his wife Ann are responsible for founding the Blue Devils organization in 1957 as a small drum corps and drill team. Odello is survived by his wife Ann, and children Annette, Tony Jr., and Rick, who is the current director of the Blue Devils B and C corps. Grandsons Ryan, Adam, Ricky and Andrew have all continued the Odello tradition in the Blue Devils adding to the more than 50 years that the family has carried on the legacy. This video clip aired as part of the 2007 Drum Corps International World Championship broadcast, tracing the Odello family's involvement with the Blue Devils from the corps' founding to today.
