If you're interested in hearing more about the history of the Blue Devils from the mouths of the people who lived it – people like Director Emeritus Jerry Seawright, Mel Stratton, Shirley Stratton-Dorritie, Rick Odello, Mike Moxley, Wayne Downey, Scott Johnson, Stephanie Lynn, current Director David Gibbs and Jay Murphy – you'll want to purchase the Blue Devils Through the Years DVD series, which will be available in June. Produced by Emmy award winner Tom Blair, the DVD traces the development of DCI's winningest drum corps. The three-volume set will highlight the Blue Devils from 1974 through the 90s. Meanwhile, Blue Devils alums are contributing to a new CD project called "The Blue Devils Alumni Collection" that will also be available in June. The CD collection, produced by Todd Tanji (soprano 81-82) and Jeff DeMello (baritone 74-78), features tracks recorded and submitted by former members from all over the world. In addition, special tracks were recorded by alumni who traveled back to Concord to be a part of this project. Grammy award winning producer Frank Dorritie, along with Scott Gordon and Andrew Lee, recorded an all-star ensemble playing Blue Devils classics, including "Channel One Suite," "Everybody Loves the Blues" and "Dindi." Look for both products on the Blue Devils' Web site and at all Blue Devils shows this summer.
