From a Blue Knights press release: The Blue Knights held their second audition camp at Englewood High School last weekend. "The turnout for this camp was excellent," said executive director Mark Arnold. "I was especially pleased with the level of talent in the horn line and the amount of returning veterans. For example, 18 of 24 trumpets present at the camp are returning members. This is sure to make this section an asset to the entire corps. It was also great to hear three minutes of our show played with the full music ensemble. Our program, titled "A Midsummer
Knight's Dream," is really taking shape and we are all excited about our progress to date."

Joni Viertel, horn line Caption Head, stated: "The horn line had a great turnout and an extremely successful weekend. The vibe was positive and the work ethic was unyielding, and I am very excited to see what they're capable of in the coming months. The brass staff has a goal to set the official line at the January camp, so plans are underway for the final castings for what will be the 2005 Blue Knights horn line. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing the progress made between now and next month's camp. Things have gotten off to a great start!" Katy Eichelberger, new color guard caption head, said, "The camp went really well for the color guard. We saw some new faces and saw a lot of improvement in all the kids from the November camp. We also finished the audition process, and have the color guard pretty much set for this coming summer! The entire color guard staff is very excited to see the growth of the guard over the next few months and into the summer."
