From a Blue Knights' press release: The Blue Knights hit the road on Monday, June 16, and had three shows in California this last weekend. In all of the shows they placed third, behind the Blue Devils and Santa Clara. According to corps director Mark Arnold, all is going as planned.

The Blue Knights rehearse last Saturday in San Diego.
"We're really excited about the way this year's members have responded to the challenge of putting together this year's show. Our show "Primary Colors" has been very well-received by the audiences and the members are having a really great time bringing it to life. We're especially excited about the success of our drum line, who have been scoring among the top drum lines in the country at this point. We seem to be on track for a great year.

"The whole corps has been working very hard. We've been blessed by great weather while on tour. We were even able to rehearse all day long in Las Vegas, and we're now in the San Joaquin Valley and it's actually fairly cool. We're looking forward to our show in Bakersfield tonight (Tuesday).

"Our hornline is coming on strong, the whole show is beginning to take shape and the crowd is really responding well. We're looking forward to getting back to Denver and Drums Along the Rockies, and sharing this with our hometown crowd."
