Blue Knights set to unveil "a few surprises"

by Drum Corps International

From a Blue Knights' press release: After a very successful Drums Along the Rockies, the Blue Knights have been covering a lot of territory on their march toward finals in
Orlando. The corps' travels have taken them south through Texas, where they competed in six shows, including the DCI Southwestern Championships in San Antonio at the Alamodome. One of the highlights in Texas was the "Texas-style" barbecue prepared for the corps in El
Paso. According to director Mark Arnold, "We are well on track to achieve many of the competitive goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of this year. Our finals finish in the Alamodome was accomplished in the midst of the greatest competitive field the activity has seen in years. The members are in great spirits and are enjoying a few days of rehearsal time before going into the Midwestern Championships at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. We will be coming out with a few surprises there, and it should be a lot of fun!" The corps is currently near Joplin, Mo., at a rehearsal camp.
