Bluecoats' Glasgow: DCI broadcast is a "great reward"

by Drum Corps International

David Glasgow, newly appointed executive director of the Bluecoats, explained why he thinks the DCI broadcast is important for the activity: "In addition to being a great way for people outside the drum corps activity to gain an appreciation for what our members work so hard for all summer, I think it's also a nice reward for the members themselves. Not only do they get the opportunity to see the fruits of their labor on national television, but the broadcast shows them that they part of something truly special -- something that goes beyond themselves and even their individual drum corps! "I'll never forget how excited I was to show the DCI broadcast on PBS to my friends and family!"
