From a Bluecoats press release: The Bluecoats will be sporting a new look next season. The Canton, Ohio-based corps recently ordered new attire from Stanbury Uniforms. The new design will premiere at the Bluecoats' first performance of the season, a free community concert on June 17 in Canton, Ohio. Featuring the traditional blue coat, the new uniform integrates contemporary design elements that allow "the Bluecoats to redefine our 'classic' image," said Bluecoats' executive director, David Glasgow. "Stanbury's history of excellence and quality goes hand-in-hand with our organization's goals and ideals," Glasgow said. "With an 80-year tradition, Stanbury is the industry leader in performance apparel." The Bluecoats' history is nearly as long and just as prestigious. Founded in 1972 as an outgrowth of the Canton Police Boys Club, the Bluecoats are 16-time Drum Corps International world finalists and perennial members of DCI's top 10 corps, as well as fan favorites. "We are thrilled to add the Bluecoats to the growing number of drum corps wearing Stanbury" said Stanbury CEO Gary Roberts. "The enthusiasm and dedication of this corps mirrors that of our company, so the relationship has a synergy that is exciting."
