From a Colts press release: Jason T. Buckingham has been named the brass caption head for the Colts. "Jason brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our organization and we are excited about the opportunity to have him with us in a full-time basis," said Greg Orwoll, Colts executive director. Buckingham brings a wealth of experience to the organization. He has served as the brass caption head for the Blue Knights ('96-'01) and most recently the Casper Troopers ('03-'05). He has also taught with Carolina Crown, Crossmen and 6th Hove Scouts of the United Kingdom. In addition, Buckingham was a cast member and brass instructor for the original London Cast of "Blast!", performing as a conductor and as a musician on cornet, euphonium and didgeridoo. While with the ensemble in London, "Blast!" received the Emmy Award. Buckingham is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in music and the Berklee College of Music, with a degree in music business and management. While at Berklee, he received the professional achievement scholarship and was assistant conductor of the wind ensemble. He earned a master's in music education from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, in music theory and composition. He also served there as a graduate assistant and, following graduation, as a member of the adjunct faculty. Buckingham is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, National Music Honor Society.
