Despite suspect weather reports out of the Denver area over the last few days, thousands of fans made their way to INVESCO Field at Mile High Stadium Saturday, July 28 to watch 12 Division I drum corps perform at the Drums Along the Rockies major event. The Cadets (91.675) won the competition, with the Bluecoats (89.750) capturing the silver medal. Carolina Crown (89.250) continued their push to a banner season while staying ahead of the Santa Clara Vanguard (88.425). The Blue Knights in front of their hometown crowd took fifth place (86.000) while Glassmen (81.667) trailed tonight's top five by several points. Also performing in Denver were the Academy (80.425), Crossmen (78.500), Pacific Crest (76.250), Cascades (75.550), Troopers (73.575) and Mandarins (73.150) Nine of tonight's twelve performing corps will now travel to Ogden, Utah to compete at Weber State University on Monday, July 29.
