From the YEA! Web site: The Cadets' 2005 program will be entitled "The Zone: Dreamscapes in three parts; with a door." Featuring the music of Bjork, Jay Bocook and Bernard Herrmann, inspired by the movies "Dancer in the Dark" and "Kill Bill,"and stirred by the musical ideas of Eric Whitacre and others, this new and different production is an attempt at surrealism within the confines of the marching music idiom. Over the space of three productions, and an introduction, the corps does not provide a description but rather, a look at how the concepts of surrealist art, music, literature and film can be combined with the media of drum corps to produce a show that can be both intellectually stimulating and entertaining.
