The Cadets came away victorious in DCI's triumphant return to Allentown tonight at the Eastern Classic, scoring a 94.35 to beat the Santa Clara Vanguard (92.95) and the Phantom Regiment (92.55) front of an excited crowd. The Cadets have been enduring 12-hour workdays "trying to get rid of the small errors," according to director George Hopkins. "It's been a long haul for the last month," Hopkins said of the Cadets' progress. "We still have a week to go." Hopkins said the corps would spend the next week improving and cleaning its current show, as opposed to inserting new additions. "The show is difficult and demanding, and we're just trying to be clean," Hopkins said.
