Color guard, percussion alive and kicking in the Netherlands

by Drum Corps International

A report from our drum corps friends across the Atlantic: Color Guard Netherlands (CGN), the Dutch color guard and indoor percussion circuit, is gearing up for the 2004 season. This year will see the return of a full percussion circuit, five color guard contests, a big championships event and the 2004 edition of the WGI European Regional.

Color guard is becoming a big thing in The Netherlands. CGN attracts a couple of thousand visitors each year and keeps on growing in number of participants.

Units from all over the world can join us for competition. In recent years units from Belgium, France, Germany and the United Kingdom have competed in CGN.

If you want more information about the WGI European Regional you can check WGI Europe's Web site. More information about the CGN color guard and percussion competitions can be found on the Color Guard -- Netherlands site.
