British composer Sir Malcolm Arnold passed away this weekend in Norwich, England, at the age of 84. Arnold, one of the "most famous composers of the 20th century" according to BBC News, composed nine symphonies in addition to 132 film scores. His soundtrack to "The Bridge over the River Kwai," won him an Oscar in 1958. Read more about Arnold on news.bbc.co.uk.
