The Academy

The Academy’s winter guard was recently promoted to World Class distinction by Winter Guard International. The Academy was the Independent Open bronze medalist group at the 2008 WGI World Championships.

Blue Devils

Blue Devils

The Blue Devils posted media from their 2008 Memorial Day rehearsal camp, including video clips of the Blue Devils “A” and “B” corps through the DCI Fan Network, and two new photo galleries.

The Cadets

The Cadets

The Cadets recently performed during the organization’s annual “An Evening with the Cadets” concert this past Memorial Day weekend. A highlight of the evening was the debut of new gold-trimmed drum major uniforms, a tribute to the corps’ heritage.

The Cavaliers

The Cavaliers will be touring with a new kitchen trailer this season, custom built and outfitted by Kitchens to Go, an industry leader in mobile and modular kitchen setups.

Glassmen

Glassmen

In conjunction with the launch of a redesigned Web site, the Glassmen have released the first installment of their new “Under Glass” podcast. The podcast will provide fans with up-to-date and behind-the-scenes information about the corps through the DCI Fan Network.

Jersey Surf

Jersey Surf

The Jersey Surf reported the passing of founding Jersey Surf member George Cherry earlier this week. Cherry was the corps’ first color guard caption head and served the Jersey Surf for a decade.

More than 300 people turned out to the Legends Spring Preview to see the debut of the corps’ 2008 program, “Evolutional Procuratio.” The corps raised more than $1,000 toward its summer tour at the event.

Memphis Sound

Memphis Sound

Memphis Sound recently announced its 2008 program titled “Awakening,” which will feature the music of composers Joseph Curiale and Greg Jasperse. The corps will begin its season July 1 in Richmond, Ky.

The Spartans will make their annual debut at the Dorchester Day Parade in Dorchester, Mass., this Sunday, June 1.
