The Jersey Surf reported the passing of founding Jersey Surf member George Cherry earlier this week. Cherry was the corps' first color guard caption head and served the Jersey Surf for a decade.

More than 300 people turned out to the Legends Spring Preview to see the debut of the corps' 2008 program, "Evolutional Procuratio." The corps raised more than $1,000 toward its summer tour at the event.
