The Academy
The Academy will be back in action this weekend for a rehearsal camp at Campo Verde High School in Gilbert, Ariz. The corps is looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks throughout the weekend.
Blue Devils
This week the Blue Devils announced the title of their 2012 production. According to the promotional release: “The 2012 Blue Devils welcome you to the challenging, whimsical, thought-provoking world of Cabaret Voltaire. Where the presentation could reveal a militarized duty-bound masculinity contrasted with a complete disregard for the rules.”
The Cadets
The Cadets posted job openings for a production assistant and tour assistant to work and travel with the corps this coming summer. Interested applicants are asked to provide a cover letter and resume to apply for the positions.
Carolina Crown
Carolina Crown is recruiting volunteers to assist the corps on its upcoming summer tour. Visit the corps’ “CrownVOLUNTEER” page for additional information.
Crossmen
The Crossmen made a special announcement last Sunday on Earth Day, revealing the title and concept of their 2012 production, “Fragile.” The corps writes that the program “is an exploration of ecological issues that threaten our planet on a daily basis, and the ideal of hope for a rejuvenated Mother Earth.”
Genesis
Genesis is still looking to fill a few open positions in its color guard and low brass sections for the 2012 summer season. Join the corps at its next scheduled rehearsal camp May 18-20 in Alamo, Texas.
Pacific Crest
The Diamond Bar Community Foundation and Southern California Gas Company will once again sponsor Pacific Crest’s two Corps at the Crest Drum Corps International Tour events this summer.
Revolution
Revolution has been named the official drum line of the San Antonio Scorpions soccer club. The team plays as part of the North American Soccer League.
Santa Clara Vanguard
Members of Santa Clara Vanguard and the Vanguard Cadets performed at a special groundbreaking ceremony for the brand new San Francisco 49s stadium which is being constructed for completion in 2014.
Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta is still looking to fill spots in its brass and color guard sections. The corps will next rehearse May 4-6, in McDonough, Ga.
Velvet Knights
Velvet Knights will hold color guard auditions this weekend April 28-29 in Moreno Valley, Calif. Those interested in attending can register on the corps’ website.
