Blue Devils B
Blue Devils B’s crab cioppino fundraiser is coming up on March 26 in Antioch, Calif. The popular annual event includes dinner, a silent auction, raffle, music and dancing.

Blue Stars
Longtime Blue Stars volunteer and supporter Audrey Whitty recently passed away. Whitty’s son Brian served as director of the corps from the early ’80s through 1995.

Boston Crusaders
The Boston Crusaders recently featured first-year mellophone player Anastasia Canfield as she cut her long locks and donated them to the Children with Hair Loss Foundation. “I donated a braid 10 inches long and the other little chunks of hair that were cut off for the styling are donated to an organization that makes mats to aid in the clean up of oil spills,” Canfield said.

The Cadets
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2011 Cadets Hall of Fame. Nominations are due by April 1, voting will take place April 8 through the 25th, and the new honorees will be introduced on Aug. 7 at the Cadets-hosted Tour of Champions series event.

Carolina Crown
Carolina Crown released details about its 2011 series of CrownLEARNING educational camps. The sessions, scheduled throughout the summer between June and August, give high school students and band directions an inside look at how the corps achieves success on the football field.

Cascades
The Cascades played through their entire 2011 production during their February rehearsal camp in Yakima, Wash. “To be completing the music book for the entire show this early in the season is huge for the Cascades,” said Cascades staff member John Freeman.

The Cavaliers
Two Cavaliers alums have been recognized for their part in the 83rd Academy Awards. Fashion designer Borris Powell won the “Oscars Designer Challenge 2011!” and Addison Teague was nominated for Best Achievement in Sound Editing for his work on the movie “Tron: Legacy.”

Crossmen
Crossmen have bolstered their color guard staff with technique and movement consultants Andria Foerch and Jennifer House Hinshaw. “Andria and Jennifer are two additions that will strengthen an already stout color guard instructional and design team,” said caption head John Leonard.

Forte
Forte announced on Facebook that its new theme song will be “To Where You Are” as performed by Josh Groban.

Genesis
Genesis announced that second-year member Rick Guerra will serve as conductor, and first-year member Bryony Castillo will serve as on-field drum major for the 2011 season.

Gold
Gold recently completed a major update to its 2011 calendar, which is now populated with events, rehearsals and audition times from March through May.

Santa Clara Vanguard
Santa Clara Vanguard and the Vanguard Cadets will make their first public performances of the 2011 season this Sunday, March 6 at the organization’s annual birthday bash. Taking place at the Vanguard Corps Hall in Santa Clara, Calif., tickets cost $10 at the door.

Teal Sound
This June, Teal Sound will be hosting an interactive educational clinic for student percussionists, color guard performers and leaders. The two-day session will take place June 2-3 in Thomasville, Ga.
