7th Regiment 7th Regiment will be taking part in the seventh annual Mystic, Conn. Irish Parade on Sunday, March 21. The parade starts at 1 p.m.
The Cadets Cadets Director George Hopkins reflects on the recent passing of DCI Hall of Fame member George Bonfiglio. "I learned the power of persistence," Hopkins said of his relationship with Bonfiglio. "To keep working, to never give up, and well, if I upset a few people along the way, George showed me that what was most important was my belief and commitment to what my organization stood for and who we wanted to be."
Carolina Crown Carolina Crown's winter color guard ensemble is making its way to the Winter Guard International World Championships the second week of April. Along the way, CrownGUARD members have been blogging about their experiences on the organization's Web site.
Colts Colts representatives will be at the Winter Guard International percussion event in Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday, March 21 to answer questions about membership with the 2010 corps.
Crossmen Crossmen volunteers have been hard at work renovating the corps' mobile food trailer. Check out photos of the repair work on the organization's Web site.
Madison Scouts Madison Scouts alums or current members in need of a new corps jacket can put in an order through April 15. According to the organization, "A time honored tradition, this classic dark green wool jacket has been the member jacket since the 1940s."
Music City Music City reports, "Even though a sizable number of percussionists and horn line members were unable to attend the [March rehearsal] camp, great strides were made learning new music and improving marching technique." Family and friends joined the group on the last day of camp for a "show-and-tell" performance.
Oregon Crusaders Reported after the completion of their March rehearsal camp, "There is a sense among all that were there that this will be a very special year for the Oregon Crusaders." Among the highlights of the camp was the addition of an intro to the corps' production described as, "a thrilling double-tonguing blast of power that is sure to set the stage for a thrilling show."
