Bluecoats



The Bluecoats announced the resignation of five-year music coordinator and battery arranger Michael McIntosh. In a press release from the corps, Macintosh said, "I am grateful for my experiences with the corps and I will keep them close for a long time as I redirect my energy into my passion for family, friends, electronic music and digital design." The Bluecoats will make an announcement about future plans for the corps' percussion program in the coming weeks.

Carolina Crown



Carolina crown announced the appointment of Adam Sage as the corps' color guard caption supervisor. In this position, Sage will collaborate with returning color guard designer Michael Townsend, who has been with Carolina Crown for the last six years. Sage most recently served as the color guard designer and caption head with the Phantom Regiment.

The Cavaliers



The Cavaliers announced the resignation of longtime brass arranger and composer Richard Saucedo. Saucedo has served in this position with the Cavaliers since 2000, working with the corps' design team through an impressive string of five World Championship titles in nine years. In a press release from the corps, Saucedo said that he will now look forward to spending more time with his family and focusing on his teaching responsibilities at Carmel High School in Indiana.

Madison Scouts



The Madison Scouts are gearing up for their 70th anniversary banquet the weekend of Sept. 26 and 27 at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells (45 minutes north of Madison). In addition to a general celebration of the corps' 70th anniversary, special recognition will be made to 2008 corps members and staff, to the organization's top color guard at the 1983 DCI World Championship (25th anniversary), and for the group's 1988 World Championship title (20th anniversary).

Teal Sound



Teal Sound has hired a new percussion staff for the 2009 season led by John Campese as percussion supervisor/caption head. A Florida native, Campese has a long history in the drum corps activity as a performer and staff member with several different groups and as one of the founding members of the Magic of Orlando. Campese will additionally be assisted by staff members Lee Hansen and Jarod Johnson.
