
Boston Crusaders
The Boston Crusaders will perform in 2011 exclusively on Jupiter Quantum series brass, Mapex Quantum marching drums and Majestic concert/field percussion instruments. “Partnering with one of the world’s most respected marching musical ensembles validates our continued commitment to the development of quality instruments,” said Tabor Stamper, President of KHS America, Inc.

Blue Saints
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2011 Cadets Hall of Fame. Nominations are due by April 1, voting will take place April 8 through the 25th, and the new honorees will be introduced on Aug. 7 at the Cadets-hosted Tour of Champions series event.

The Cadets
You can take a look inside the Cadets’ most recent rehearsal camp in a new video posted on the corps’ website. “This was a very productive and busy camp,” said assistant director Justin Heimbecker. “We took advantage of the Presidents Day holiday to get more done.”

The Cavaliers
The Cavaliers recently announced their roster of 2011 visual staff members. The group will be led by caption head Matt Heard, assistant caption head Steven Estudillo and consultant Sylvester Sybilski.

Colts
The Colts are currently accepting applications for a 2011 tour director. According to the posted job description, this individual will be responsible for planning and directing all phases of the corps’ summer tour operations.

Crossmen
The Crossmen are looking to hire two Class A CDL licensed drivers for the corps’ 2011 summer tour.

Forte
Forte recently announced its roster of color guard staff members who will be led in by caption head Jenn Vaught and designer Chris Smith.

Glassmen
Gary Doherty, a member of the Glassmen board of directors, has been honored this year as the recipient of the “2011 All American National Band Director of the Year,” an award given out by MENC: the National Association for Music Education and the U.S. Army. Doherty is the director of bands at Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis.

Phantom Regiment
Phantom Regiment reports that former director Bob Lendman is in stable condition after a motorcycle accident in Florida on Feb. 15.

Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta will have an information booth at the WGI Atlanta Regional this Saturday, Feb. 26.

Troopers
Rod Owens has been named Troopers’ assistant corps director. “Rod has been very instrumental in the last year with a lot of our administrative duties as well as being our tour director,” said director Fred Morris.

Velvet Knights
he Velvet Knights’ drum majors in 2011 will be Savannah Gucwa and Benny Yamagata. “I’m excited to get out there and see my fellow marchers who all share a passion for music and the art of marching,” Yamagata said. “This year will be one of the best years that Drum Corps and VK have ever had, I guarantee it!”
