Volunteers are needed for Blue Knights’ brass rehearsal camp March 16-18 in Englewood, Colorado.
Blue Stars’ brass section will be in action this weekend in Indianapolis.
Bluecoats has partnered with Indiana Wesleyan University to be the site of the corps’ spring training program.
The Boston Crusaders horn line will be performing at Boston’s Strand Theater on March 24. Also in performance is Take 6, the most awarded a cappella vocal group in history.
A large number of support staff positions are currently being hired by The Cadets for the corps’ 2018 summer tour.
Cavaliers has openings for a number of positions, including internships and a variety of tour-related support staffers. All applications are due by April 1.
Crossmen revealed the title of the corps’ 2018 production, “The In-Between.”
Genesis has openings in its front ensemble percussion section, specifically for a synthesizer and vibraphone players.
Gold’s next brass experience camp will be held March 17-18, giving prospective members the opportunity to audition for a spot in this year’s corps.
Guardians has openings in most sections for prospective corps members, including positions for vocalists.
Impulse is looking for more trumpet, mellophone, and tuba players. Those interested are invited to the corps’ rehearsal camp on March 11 in Bell Gardens, California.
Incognito has openings in its brass section. Prospective members can audition at the corps’ next rehearsal camp on March 18.
Louisiana Stars has openings in its color guard and horn line. The corps’ next rehearsal camp is on Sunday, March 18.
Due to a major stadium renovation at Middleton High School, Madison Scouts’ annual Drums on Parade DCI Tour event will be relocated to Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Music City’s percussion supervisor and arranger recently dropped some hints about the corps’ 2018 production.
All proceeds from Portland’s “Battle of the Pinots” on April 14 will benefit the Oregon Crusaders.
River City Rhythm
River City Rhythm has announced a partnership with March Drum Corps, an organization that assists prospective marchers with technique, the audition process, and funding.
Santa Clara Vanguard
The Santa Clara Vanguard organization celebrated a birthday this week. Check out this photo from the corps’ first year in 1967.
Seattle Cascades is more than one-third of the way toward the goal of obtaining a new food truck. Supporters are encouraged to help the corps “Reach the Summit.”
Southwind is selling eco-friendly tote bags, travel bags, kitchenware, and more. 40 percent of the proceeds go directly to the tuition expenses of corps members.
Spartans has brass rehearsals on March 4 and 18. There are still positions available to prospective corps members, especially in the baritone section.
Troopers has instituted a new sponsor a meal program that allows fans to make contributions toward feeding corps members.
Tickets are still available for the Vanguard Music and Performing Arts Birthday Brunch celebration on March 17.
Watchmen has a rehearsal and audition opportunity on Sunday, March 18. There are positions available in all sections.
