The Academy has announced the members of its 2019 percussion staff.
The Battalion
The Battalion is celebrating its fifth anniversary by launching efforts to purchase an equipment trailer. The corps’ board has promised to match donations up to $5,000.
Blue Devils
After traveling more than 400,000 miles over 30 years, Blue Devils’ mobile food kitchen is being retired. The corps has launched the “Feed the Future” campaign to raise funds for a new kitchen.
Blue Knights
Blue Knight's Florida-based educational clinic for brass has been moved to December 8 and will be held at a new location, Park Vista High School in Lake Worth.
Bluecoats
Bluecoats is looking for a certified athletic trainer for the corps' 2019 summer tour.

Ken Bodiford, director of bands at Jacksonville State University, has joined Southwind’s design staff as a consultant. He will be joined by new hires Rodney Bailey as choreographer, design and percussion consultant Terry Sanders, and visual designer Chad Hannah.

David Weinberg, who has written more than 1700 field shows, has joined the Vessel staff as its 2019 program coordinator.
Watchmen
Ryan Turner has been named the new visual designer for Watchmen. “We are extremely excited to have his talent and unmatched passion for the marching arts to share with our organization,” Watchmen executive director David Becker said.
