Pacific Crest

Pacific Crest will welcome new and old faces to design and instructional staff positions in 2008. Visual coordinator Jeff Sterrett has been promoted to program coordinator, and the organization has hired Matt Altmire to serve as percussion coordinator and Adrian Rivas to serve as marching coordinator. Altmire works as a freelance percussionist in Los Angeles and as professor of percussion at Santa Monica City College and Mt. San Antonio Community College. A former member and longtime instructor with Pacific Crest, 2008 will mark Altmire's 16th year with the corps.



Dale Leaman, one of the corps' founding instructors and designers, will continue to serve as staff coordinator and music director.

Santa Clara Vanguard

Bob Chreste has joined the Santa Clara Vanguard as the corps' new brass caption manager. A former member of the Cadets, Chreste served on Carolina Crown's brass staff from 2003-2007. He was previously a performer and conductor in the U.S. touring cast of the Tony and Emmy award winning stage show, "Blast!"



Other 2008 brass staff members will include: Key Poulan (arranger/composer), Donnie Van Doren (consultant), Ron Morrison (consultant), Andre Feagin (ensemble specialist), Ray Vasquez (high brass coordinator) and Tom Lukowicz (low brass coordinator), among others.
